Electric Power Engineers Names Kimberly Blount Chief Financial Officer to Support Continued Global Growth

By EPE Team

AUSTIN, Texas <June 1, 2026> — Electric Power Engineers (EPE), a global power systems engineering, consulting, and software firm, today announced the appointment of Kimberly Blount, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer. Blount brings more than 15 years of financial leadership experience across capital strategy, governance, M&A execution, and financial operations for high-growth organizations.

As CFO, Blount will lead EPE’s finance organization, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and financial operations. She will work closely with the executive team to strengthen financial strategy, governance, and operational discipline as EPE continues to expand its global platform and support clients navigating increasingly complex grid and energy challenges.

Prior to joining EPE, Blount served on the executive leadership team at Workrise Technologies, formerly RigUp, first as Chief Accounting Officer and then as Chief Financial Officer, where she played a central role in scaling the company through a period of significant growth and led the strategy and execution of complex M&A transactions. Earlier in her career, Blount spent more than a decade at Ernst & Young, LLP, rising to Senior Manager in the Assurance practice, where she advised executives, audit committees, and boards across a diverse portfolio of public and private clients.

"Kimberly brings the financial discipline, strategic judgment, and growth-related experience EPE needs for this next chapter," said Stephanie Badr, CEO of EPE. "Her track record of building high-performing finance organizations, guiding complex transactions, and driving operational discipline will be invaluable as we continue scaling our global platform and helping clients address the demands of a more reliable, resilient, affordable, and flexible energy future."

Blount was named a finalist for the Austin Business Journal's Women in Business award in 2025 and was nominated for the Austin Business Journal's Best CFOs in 2024. She holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

Outside of her professional work, Blount is active in community service. She serves on the Austin MS150 Ride Committee and has helped lead teams that have raised more than $250,000 for the National MS Society over 13 years.

"EPE is helping clients solve some of the most complex power system challenges of our time," said Blount. "I am excited to join a team with such a clear mission and high-caliber talent. I look forward to building the financial strategy and operating foundation that supports EPE's continued growth and long-term impact."
