AUSTIN, Texas, <February 12, 2026> – Electric Power Engineers (EPE), a global engineering advisory firm providing full-spectrum consulting and innovative software solutions, is among the top 100 companies from around the world selected for the annual Longhorn 100™ list, which honors the fastest-growing companies owned or led by former students of the University of Texas.
Two members of the EPE executive team have at least one degree from the University of Texas – Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Badr and Chief Growth Officer Hugo Mena.
"Being based in Austin, right in the backyard of the University of Texas, makes this award especially meaningful to us. We are truly honored and excited to be nominated for this award," said Badr. "As a Longhorn, I've always believed in UT's mission to create impact beyond the classroom, and EPE embodies that every day. EPE is helping to solve some of the most critical challenges facing the power grid. We’re truly set on delivering reliable, resilient energy infrastructure that is able to adapt to the needs of communities while staying affordable. What we learned at the Forty Acres is being practiced every day."
"Being named to the Longhorn 100 is a testament to our sustained growth – not a single year, but a multi-year trajectory," added Mena. "That consistency reflects the long-term relationships we've built, the value we deliver, and our expanding footprint across North America, Latin America, and the Middle East."
The Longhorn 100 is hosted by Texas Exes, the alumni association of UT Austin, serving more than 110,000 members and more than 570,000 alumni. The 100 companies are determined by percentage of compounded annual growth in sales or revenue from 2022 to 2024. The Longhorn 100 Awards Celebration will be held on April 24, 2026, at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, where the rankings will be revealed.
