Reena Bhatt is an accomplished electrical engineer with over 16 years of experience in the energy and electric utility sector, specializing in generation interconnection and transmission planning studies. Her technical expertise includes load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, dynamic modeling, transient stability studies, NERC TPL compliance studies, and generation and load deliverability assessments. She has extensive experience in transmission network planning using a wide range of power system analysis software tools. Reena currently leads the PJM team at EPE, supporting PJM’s Interconnection Analysis, Interconnection Solutions, and Special Studies groups. In this role, she has been instrumental in delivering complex generation interconnection studies, including As-Built and Necessary studies, cluster studies, PJM Winter Capacity Interconnection Rights (CIR) analyses, and 3rd Interconnection Analysis. She also brings strong expertise in ERCOT transmission grid energy market analysis. In addition to her planning and analytical capabilities, Reena has managed a comprehensive geodatabase of the U.S. transmission grid and developed high-quality transmission maps using ESRI tools such as ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro.
Her career spans diverse roles across the energy and engineering sectors, with demonstrated strengths in project management, proposal development, and delivering client-focused solutions. She successfully managed more than 550 projects during the PJM TC2 application phase and approximately 280 projects during the PJM TC2 DP1 phase. Reena is recognized for her ability to manage large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects, coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership, and communicate clearly with clients, stakeholders, and all levels of management.
